about

One day the band decided to try and do some minor releases of old three-piece songs from the past and put them out in old, antiquated formats just for fun. Since a lot of our oldest songs werent recorded to a click, we decided to do some of the fast ones. Upon reflection, those tunes are now irritatingly fast and we still have no idea how Matty pulled them off. No one we knew had working cassette decks anymore, except for Mikey, so we set about releasing this hodgepodge of old songs and japanese b-side material. Each cassette was dubbed by Mikey on an old stereo, making this the second-worst quality album of all time. (The first was the Havelock EP, duh. The liner notes were printed on old cardstock.) Luckily, our friend Ryan Connolly is a graphic arts genius and whipped us up three covers for the album. They looked awesome and featured toy cowboys and indians in various dance poses. Our buddy Mitch at Pretzel City Records even allowed us to put his logo on the limited copy pressed. The song "Ataris Tattoos" actually made it into a circle of friends who know the Ataris. No word on their opinions. Hey Ataris, if youre reading this, Blue Skies Broken Hearts was awesome. We are still wondering why you went all Muse on everything. We still like your band! Kthanks! ~JVA

about

The JV Allstars Lincoln, Nebraska

The JV Allstars were a pop-punk band from Lincoln, Nebraska from 2000-2012. They started like any band does, by sucking. In time, they got a little better and had lots of fun and toured a lot and released a bunch of music. Thanks!
