The Havelock EP was JVA's first EP, and as most first attemps are, was pretty amateur. Oh well, you gotta start somewhere. When the band started, it was a two-piece. Nick and Sean played pop-punk covers in Sean's bedroom at top volume and jammed on some original stuff. Back then we all listened to the Mr. T Experience, The Young Hasslehoffs, Green Day, MXPX, Blink, and a lot of Ramones-y pop punk, which is why the band started out as a three-piece, and stayed that way for several releases and demo sessions.

Recorded at honestly, I dont remember. We played one of our first shows at a warehouse a couple miles outside of Lincoln and the sound guy offered to do our first demo for really cheap. The quality sucks because, well, it was really cheap.

Mixed by sound man dude.

Mastered by nobody. We didnt know that was important yet.
